Many refined by-products are also used for the production of plastics,
fertilizers, pesticides and pharmaceuticals, cosmetics and other solvents.
Natural Gas is mainly converted into LNG to achieve for an easier transport over the seas where laying pipelines is not feasible technically and economically. LNG after regasified at its destination is used widely for electricity, heating and in many households for cooking.
